Body-Oriented Psychology in the USA
In December 2024, Honorary Member and Head of the Department of Body-Oriented Practices, Yoga Concentration, and Psychophysical Rehabilitation at the Institute for the Development of Practical Psychology, Volodymyr Mashyr, successfully conducted a series of authorial master classes in the United States, particularly in Brooklyn (New York) and Miami.
In December 2024, Honorary Member and Head of the Department of Body-Oriented Practices, Yoga Concentration, and Psychophysical Rehabilitation at the Institute for the Development of Practical Psychology, Volodymyr Mashyr, successfully conducted a series of authorial master classes in the United States, particularly in Brooklyn (New York) and Miami.
The master classes became a presentation of the Ukrainian approach to body-oriented psychology, which integrates:
- Yoga and meditation practices.
- Psycho-emotional regulation.
- Physical rehabilitation.
- Deep psychosomatic work.
- Integration of Eastern practices (including Tibetan singing bowls).
During the sessions in the USA, Volodymyr Mashyr:
- Conducted individual and group sessions.
- Taught methods of psycho-emotional state regulation through breathing and concentration.
- Worked with thought-form regulation and internal tension release.
- Performed body diagnostics and spinal correction.
- Implemented rehabilitation approaches incorporating elements of Tibetan practices.
Volodymyr Mashyr is a specialist with more than 20 years of professional experience, author of innovative programs in yoga concentration, visualization, and body integration, and a researcher in psychophysiological correction in sports and rehabilitation.
This international project became an example of:
- Promoting the Ukrainian school of body-oriented psychology.
- integrating practical science and spiritual experience.
- fostering meaningful intercultural exchange.
- strengthening the international image of the Institute for the Development of Practical Psychology.
